It's all a question of point of view

Christian SHULA
Bio
Christian SHULA MBO was born in Kinshasa on March 25, 1990. He began his artistic career in the studio of his father, Master SHULA, whose influence marked his beginnings. However, he managed to forge his own style by moving towards abstract art. His work is distinguished by silhouetted characters, placed on colored backgrounds evoking the vibrant patterns of African loincloths.
Artistic approach
His works mainly illustrate daily life in Kinshasa, while reflecting the evolution of the world. In a spirit reminiscent of the African-American social movement of the "Harlem Renaissance", he draws his inspiration from the customs and traditions of his cultural heritage. Through his creative sense, Christian SHULA MBO seeks to enhance African beauty in all its forms, by mixing tradition and modernity in an artistic vision deeply rooted in his roots.
